Concrete Foundations
Showing: Residential and Commercial

The following three pictures are of a foundation for a custom built addition. The finished pictures can be viewed on our Exterior Remodeling Page

We take one more precaution, we hilti nails into the foundation an inch and one half inches below the top of the concrete floor. We then tie the wire mesh to the pins; this is an extra precaution that we take. This assures us that if the dirt under the floor settles a little bit, this will in no way effect the finish floor.

These photos show the forms set ready to pour the foundation on to the back of the existing home. The lazar is set up in the middle of the site in order to reach all sides of the forms to set the height for the pour.

Residential Foundation After:

This photo shows the finish product after the pouring of the concrete. The panels have been pulled off and the pins that are sticking out of the concrete wall have been broken off. The water plug has been placed in the pin holes and the foundation has been tarred and ready for back fill. When back fill is being done, the inside of the foundation will be leveled and compacted. This allows the concrete floor that will be poured on top not to settle.

Commercial Foundations

Here is a foundation done on a strip mall. Piers poured in between block walls. Parking garage area is located under the stores above. The building is 680 linear ft in the front and rear. Most of the piers were 42" x 42" with reinforced steel boxed in 24" x 24" cages. The piers were 14 feet in total height. Our aspect of this particular concrete pier job, 27 piers in total, took us 4 weeks from start to finish.
